What's the easist way to get a hold of your driving records from diffrent states.

THe SWA App does not specify a time period so I assume they want them all, but it's been about 8 years since my last ticket and can't remember the where and what date.

Anybody know how far back the National Driver Registry goes? I got the report and nothing was listed.

Driving records? DRIVING RECORDS? Dude I know how you drive, you got more tickets than that!! I saw your driving at HPA and I thought you got a ticket in Dallas.

Seriously I don’t know the answer I just wanted to give you a hard time and say hi. How’s PSA? Any word from LUV yet? Let me know. See yeah

PS Good news out of California the porn industry is back at work. I’m taking 2 weeks off to do a movie in June to help pay off my type. My test was negative, no HIV. lol

I was just in the same delima. Im in texas, and I drove to Austin where the DPS headquarters are. I requested the lifetime drivers record. The clerk said that everything drops off after 5 years anyway, so she didnt even know why they call it the lifetime record.
If you don't want to drive to austin, you have to do it by mail and wait the 2-3 weeks to get your record mailed to you.
I got a ticket in florida around 4 years ago and that ticket was on my record. So yes, it is nationwide. Just go to the DPS office in the state that you have your drivers license in and they can pull it up; it will show every state you've had a ticket in but nothing prior to 5 yrs.
I don't know how far back the driver registry goes, but I do know that it mainly shows dwi's and things like that.

Driving Record

Go on line for the states you lived in and find the link. I had 2 tickets in CA in 1999 and 1993. I put them on my app. I called the DMV and talked to one person there. She said they only give out your past three year history to any employer that requests it. Same thing in AZ. I feel pretty sure that ticket is no where to be found. So even by requesting a record, it probably won't help you with the facts. But it is definitely not a big deal. Mine didn't even come up at the interview.

The NDR says specifically "For your information, State driver licensing officials are required to submit idetification information on drivers whose licenses to operate a motor vehicle have been denied, revoked, cancelled or suspended, or who have been convicted of certain serious traffic violations (E.G. driving under the influence of alcohol). Unless you have had such action taken against your license, you would have no record in the NDR." So if none of the above has happened to you, yours will be clean. Here's their number if you have questions: (202) 366-4800. Good luck.

328dude,

More than likely if it was 8 years ago, and it was pretty trivial, moving violation, non felony kind of thing, I doubt it will even make a bit of difference.

You do have a general idea when, obviously you also know what it was that happened, I would put down what you have, if you can't find all the details.

In fact I was in the similiar situation, I have had one speeding ticket and one parking ticket in my driving career. This happened in 1986, speeding on my way to junior year highschool history class. I thought to myself, get real, they wouldn't know either way, but I wanted to be honest and have no skeletons in the closet.

I know I made the right choice, and you know what it might of been what got me in the "POOL", the HR gal looked at my response, and laughed so hard, and said I can't believe you went back that far to tell me about a speeding ticket on the way to your history class. I told her, I didn't want to hide anything of my background, I think I was the laugh of the day, but I'm sure honesty and integrity were signed off at that moment.
Anyway, if you can't get all the facts, I'd put it down, good luck to you friend. :)
