Ok so what would you say to a guy who was demoted from captain for certian issues. Then upon a 2nd try at upgrade fails, but continues to wear a captains uniform even though they are an FO the entire time?
Any good zingers?
What difference does it make to you, you are the real Captain aren't you? It is an issue for the CP or Prof Standards if you have one, let them deal with it if they want in their own time. Why kick a guy when he is already down?

As I recall, we had a big problem with this when the Brasilias were retired and a bunch of short time captains got sent back to the right seat. They refused to wear FO uniforms and the CPs set them straight. Let the CPs deal with it and worry about more important things.

I personally don't see what the big deal is either. I personally would like to fly in jeans and a t-shirt with a goatee.
Lots of airlines have a policy of: "once a Captain, always a Captain" (given you don't fail any checkkrides of course) and all pilots are hired as potential Captains.
If the company bumps a Captain temporarily back to the position of FO because of something like 911, furloughs or whatever, would that pilot be required to go back to wearing his or her FO uniform?
For example, I knew an md80 capt who was bumped to md-11 fo (domestic). He had never flown the md-11, and they type rated him on it and he continued to wear his capt uniform for the 9 months or so that he was temporarily flying that aircraft in the right seat.
Exactly. What do you care? Does it threaten your little ego to have someone give the appearance of not respecting your Authoritay?
Get over yourselves.

Sounds like someone has little sausage complex. Jack, you wouldn't be driving a fast sports car too, would you?
