Curious: if you had the requisite hours for your "dream job", what would that job be? Major airlines? High $$ corporate?? Flying Jimmy Buffet around the islands??

Hhhmmm... "Dream Job"???

KingAir 300 based in BFE Iowa flying Tues & Thurs one week, Mon, Wed & Fri the opposite week, trips leave about 9:30am return around 2:30pm... No weekend or Holiday flying, 2-3 passengers max... Salary $175,000/yr with full benefits...

Not that I have put any thought into it...

As for the dream job... Hmmm... Let's see... I just walked in the door from my morning run on the beach. I'm going to walk back to the beach for breakfast with my girlfriend. The bills are paid. I know my schedule for the next few months. I have enough time off that I get excited to fly. I really like the people I work for/with. I'm just about there with all my dream job requisites.

Dream job? Getting paid to fly. What could be better?

I've been able to fly a lot of neat things, but speed doesn't thrill me, altitude doesn't do much for me, and sophistication in the cockpit only means I get to do less flying, and more watching. That's okay, but if I wanted to watch, I could order the discovery channel.

Personally, the greatest airplane I've ever flown, and the best job I've ever had, is always whatever I'm doing when I'm asked. I can't afford the millions it takes to buy one of these airplanes, but for the time I'm in it, the time I'm captain or PIC, it's my airplane. I own it. That's a great thing.

And a great privilege.

A dream job? I really enjoyed working a little fabric pawnee in the field. I like turbine reliability. An AT-802 job that does fire in the summer, forestry in the winter, and still allows me the time away to see my kids, with some contract corporate work on the side, and an on-call availability for governent contract work out of the country will be just fine. Not gonna happen, but then, it's a rhetorical question, right?

ok guyz, i'm partly pollish so if ya' could spell it out for me i'd appreciate the education. who flies the black and gold gulfstream? and should i ask why ya' gotta get de-loused? seems it would be easier to debug the plane then fly it?
