Yes. By about $345,000.

ALPA called me for

a phone survey a couple of weeks ago.

Here is an example of the 20 questions I was asked. Note the answers for each question.

1. How do you feel management is doing today?
Please answer:Avg, below avg, fair, poor or unacceptable.

2. How do you feel ALPA MEC is doing?
Please answer: Excellent, above avg, good, avg.

Talk about a fair and balanced survey. The whole time I'm thinking about the answers to respond to the questions and then how much money ALPA was spending to do this "scientific" poll.

When the survey was completed, I was asked for any comment.

I asked where was ALPA Natl's pay cuts that coinsided with the pilot group they represent? The surveyor seemed like he heard that response a couple of times that day. But he did get a chuckle at my next suggestion.

Have ALPA MEC's and Natl conduct their meetings at the line pilots overnight hotel meeting rooms instead of the 5 star resorts in CA, AZ, GA and FL.

stb--Quit complaining and eat your cake.

Signed,

HRH Duane Woerth

;)

P.S.--Duffy, Babbitt and Woerth should all be swinging from a tree somewhere!

If ol' Duane really felt your pain, he would have taken a cut in salary. I can see him keeping the allowances, as they are what keep the ball rolling with work, BUT, to keep the base salary at what it was tells me he is not a pilot but rather professional MANAGEMENT. I would can his butt next time you get the chance. I guarantee we wouldn't put up with this at SWA, although we do have our problems.
