If you are interviewing with a MAJOR and you get this question maybe you could say.."
yes, I was wondering, when I get furloughed, will I be able to go to our express division and #1 be preferentially hired, and #2 be able to hold a captains seat in the small jet even though I only have XXXXhours and one year senority here..."

That would certainly get you the job.

Edit: ..... sorry, disregard.....

Ask the interviewer a question about sex ...

"Why does sex always hurt my butt so much?"

some ideas ...

Don't have a canned answer. If there is a serious appropriate question on your mind - ask! Stay away from questions about your performanace (DO NOT ask "how'd I do?") but if you have questions about where the process goes from here that is OK, and shows interest. If you don't have a question - don't use something canned just to have something to say. I used this time as an opening to tie up any loose ends from the interview: "Do you have all of the paperwork you need with regard to ..." or whatever.
