FLUFFFYYYY NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I *love* cats!

They taste just like chicken.

Cats are not indigenous to the western hemisphere. They kill an estimated 350,000,000 song birds in the US every year according to the audobon society. Yes I hate cats! But, I DO love German Sheppards and other big dogs that hate cats. : )

Forgive me if I seem naive, but did they actually decapitate a cat for a car commercial? Otherwise, great special effects!

Ford Motor Company must be doing really well these days to risk alienating every cat lover on the planet or maybe their marketing research is so good, they know all cat owners only drive Chevys.

Or maybe this commercial was only suppose to see the light of day in places like Korea or China where cats are raised to eat.

This is fascinating to me from a marketing standpoint however. Does anyone know any of the details of this campaign? I can't get to the web site:

Its called the British sick sense of humor (and being mostly british background I find that add hilarious :D )

I'll bet my avatar puts a smile on your face.

I can't stand freaking cats, except the ones that act like dogs.

It just shows how uptight this country is. A congressional hearing would be launched if that commercial was ever aired here. That's why I love HBO, no censors or bleeding heart liberals to tell me what I can watch. PS. I am an independent and my comment on liberals in no such way determines my polictal intent.

Ok, I got the story on this commercial.

My brother is a high level exec with Ford. He said this was an ad agency test commercial somewhere in Europe. (I do not remember where he said it was; I was pretty tired.) It was never aired. He also said there was one about a pigeon that was flying near this car. Just as the pigeon was about to land on the car, the hood flew up and smacked it. :D

Anyway, I just thought I would pass this along. I had a hard time believing that conservative Ford would do anything that would put them in a bad light.

Cats are like lawyers

You hate all of them but yours. Excellent organic rodent control.

I've seen the pigeion video. Identical format to the cat one. Just as funny.

Hey, do you know how to make a cat go "woof"?

Dowse it with gasoline and throw it in a fire........WOOF!!!!!!

Sick.

Congratulations to Ford marketing: I'll never buy one of their cars again.

This was NOT a Ford commercial. This was an ad agency trying to put together an advertisement for them. If you know anything about ad agencies, they come up with some weird stuff.

Anyone remember seeing the AWA ads about 8-10 years ago? They showed a roll of toilet paper. Then they went into some talk about how it was an ordinary roll of toilet paper that you would find on any airline. They went on to say how much cheaper the seats were on AWA. Real stellar marketing concept. What I want to know is who at AWA thought it was a "good" idea!

Thanks for the insight, Kathy. I had a hard time believing Ford went postal for a TV commercial.

I suspect the special effects would have cost a lot more to produce than just getting some cat from a pound and training it to eat at the sunroof. I'm guessing they actually killed the cat.

This would make a great story if we found out that Chevrolet commissioned the commercial posing as a Ford then released it
on the web.

Big bidness can be ugly.
