The company management sent out a letter to pilots stating they will not respect pilot seniority when it comes to upgrade, they are upgrading whoever it is cheapest to them to find replacements for (145 FO's) and with no time table when this will stop or even pay protection for FO's who are passed up.. Senior FO's are being passed over for upgrade, and junior people to them are getting captain spots. THIS is no rumor or Joke, the letter is on the company website, the awards are out, with contract negotiations coming soon, things are going to get nasty.

You have to ask your self these questions:

DO you want to work for a company that doesnt respect your seniority?

DO you want to work for a company that does whatever is cheapest at the expense of its employees?

Do you want to work for a company that will fully violates a contract whenever it pleases, even with things as fundamental as seniority?

Do you want to work for a company that expects its grossly underpaid FO's and their family to bail them out of the problems they create?

If you answered no to any of these questions you need to apply somewhere else, with so many options these days, you dont need to put up with this. Please be sure to tell RAH why your no longer interested in working there (very important).

Well, Mr. CFI, the pilot group is the union. Not sure if you know exactly how all that works...

But anyways, this group is plenty strong and will stop nothing short of a strike if the company plans on following through with their bypass awards. Make no mistake about that.

Bypass isn't the only thing this company should be worried about. Not attacking but the FO rates on the 170 are pretty shabby.

Best of luck sticking it to them during neg...

Remember you guys need to set the bar as the only operator of the 170 in the US.

Can somebody post the letter? Just curious to see how exactly that is worded.

Well Mr. Avi8tor2000 Ive flown for 2 121 carriers so I think I have an idea of how the whole pilot group/union thing works, but Im sure you can enlighten me......So you're telling me that the teamsters union is going to get you an industry leading contract? flyslow24 is right, you guys need to set the bar high. I shouldn't get paid more than you do to fly a smaller jet....

Nothing has happened yet, nor will happen for a couple of weeks. If these guys end up going to class, then things will get ugly.

All of that is true. That stuff is not uncommon and is still better than the treatment at some other regionals. So, come to Rah.
