If all airlines were to stop hiring, which airline would you rather be at for the rest of your career? If the answer is Skywest ... might as well go there now and get it over with.

Stay where you are, the QOL at Skywest is not that great, we need a union bad. If you think you are going to get a west coast base forget about it, they are very senior and all growth is going to ORD, DEN and COS. The other big question is what happens if they merge the senority list with ASA. Your going to be a career FO just like me. Anyway just my 2cents, good luck.

He now works at a casino and is crying all the way to the bank.

As a Trans States Escapee to SKYW I can tell you that every aspect of the change has been positive. Why didn't I do this earlier?! No pay during training was not fun, but that is the price of admission.

While there is no getting around the fact that training is not very fun, the experience is not at all like Trans States. Much more positive, if you put out the effort they will get you through. Not like Trans States where they seem to have a goal of washing out a certain percentage.

The domiciles in CA (except maybe FAT) and SLC are very senior, with everything that implies. Basically, many of the people in this company don't want anything to do with east of the Rockies. However, if you deal with DEN or ORD you will move up fast.

No joke. Not to be Capt. Grammar here, but I am continually amazed at how ignorant the pilot group seems to be regarding the english language. I feel like that Indian in those '70's commercials crying over pollution. ;)

Or the CEO of RAH, Brian Bedford. This is *ONE* sentence from a memo he wrote awhile back. All of them are just as bad and he's a *C*E*O* !

I agree with 210fr8dog. If I were brand new here I would RUN to SKYW!!!! There are 2 main advantages of doing that;

1. You don't have to work for uncle Hulie. That should make you happy.

2. They just spent a bunch of $$$ training you and it is all down the drain. That will make me happy.

P.S. Reading what I've just written makes me shake my head. I never thought I would reach the point where I actually wanted bad things to happen to my company. Unfortunately, it is true.

No pay during training.... STRIKE ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
