General...

Can't believe I'm going to say this, but on behalf of one of DAL's many business traveler I just wanted to say THANK YOU DELTA & AA for having business class in the US domestic market. Well worth the extra $$. Of course, we live in a place where DAL rules the market. For personal travel, we (wife and I) enjoyed Air Tran with it's 1st/Biz class but now with the merger, we can kiss that goodbye. AT's Biz/1st class was a good product and sold well. Gonna miss it but DAL is now my company's and spouse's company choice for business travel and Corporate Crew Deadheading.

Airtran had a pretty good 1st class (I jumpsat on it a few times), with the XM radio and nice flight attendants. You're right, that will be going away. I hope you do like the Delta 1st and business class, on most of the planes there is Wifi, and many of the 757s and 738s have TVs with dish network, which helps the time go by. The food up front is getting better, and I think inflight is working on getting a great product out there. Mergers take awhile to get everything the same. Frequent travellers deserve the perks, and I think more is on the way. Thanks for the comments.

Maybe he hates RJs? I certainly buy around them when I have a choice.

Surely you are mistaken....everyone knows that no matter where you fly on Delta, you will always be in First Class on a 777, with Genital Lee Davis in Command. Of course it will be his normal schedule of 2 on, 64 off and he will have his own personal flight attendant for the cockpit.....a valet will park his Maserati for him so he has a chance to brunch with the CEO who needs a few stock tips from Commander Genital.....

But then the reality of codeshare and Valujet wages set in......

You forgot about the sundaes across the Atlantic.

On a side note, along with the upgrades on the Delta widebodies and lay flat seats, they have enlarged the cockpit door on the 767 so the Genital could get his over-inflated head in for his single flight to Darfur...or was it for his girth with so many sundaes? Anyway, it works either way.

Did anyone in the 5 pages bother to read the article? This was based on a survey of travel buyers and managers not buisness travelers themselves. The biggest issue according to the article seems to be that SWA doesn't book through Sabre and we won't slash prices for group sales.
I was a fractional pilot for 8 years. I flew random routing usually on a high fair ticket. If you can get it legacy First Class is a better product than SWA. Legacy mainline coach about the same inflight as SWA. The problem is for the lagacys that a huge amount of domestic flying is RJ. SWA is much better than RJs. Also SWA CSAs are much more empowered to fix things than the CSAs at other companys as a general rule.

Ohh yeah sorry. Hope the mods don't see that since posting factual information is a violation of the TOS.

Ghetto,

PLEAAAAASE, stop injecting facts into a good SWA bashing thread.....fun killer

Yeah, the author of the story doesn't know what he/she is talking about. Only you do....(sore losers)
