I have heard the age 60 rule was passed by congress raising the age to 63, can anyone confirm this..

Not true. If it were, it would be all over this board, the ALPA boards, the news, etc.

It was originally attached to the homeland security act. It was later removed after objections from several senators.

With so many guys on the street, this would be a terrible time to have something like this pass.

People are gonna be on the street one way or the other. All that this would affect is WHOM.

...unless you're a 59+ year old pilot who loves to fly.

Well, Carlos, there are plenty of jobs that a 60+ can take right now that involve a lot of flying, just not any in a 121 aircraft.;)

I found the 91/135 aircraft to be more like "flying" but they don't allow you to collect the top cabbage, that's for sure.

The reason however, is WHY.

In one case, the market is determining how many pilots are needed.

In the other case, people are determining that it is okay to arbitrarily discriminate against experienced pilots who have reached an arbitrary number of birthdays.

It would be an unfortuanate time to make this needed change, so chances are that it won't pass now. But it will, as soon as times are better.

When your whole senority is based on the senior guys retiring YUCH, who wants that. Every guys should support it as we all get old and "your time" will be here soon enough.

Yeah you are right. I'd rather have my list based on what p.o.s. jumped across the picket line earlier. Man you really are pathetic! There's the door (kick), get your scab *ss out! The profession will be better served!

That is right and guys like you make me want to do everything in my power to ruin your career. Just remember that there are well over 5000 of us, more than enough to totally ruin any pilot action that you might take. Though I am sure that by your attitude you will smoke yourself in and I won't have to worry about doing anything. I just hope that you do it in the sim.........

turbo,

It just amazes me how all of your kind live in your own little world, where the only thing ever considered is your own greed. It must be hard going through life knowing your are a loser. I'm really not scared of some collective scab action, because you guys are getting old and dying off. BTW, there weren't enough scabs at CAL to stop ALPA from coming back.

Though I am sure that by your attitude you will smoke yourself in and I won't have to worry about doing anything. I just hope that you do it in the sim.........

I invite you to take a look at your roster sometime. It seems quite a few of your fellow members have bought the farm over the years due to their attitudes in airplanes.

It is funny how scabs are so proud of themselves when they cannot be seen. I am sure he is not so proud in the pilots lounge...

TURBOBLADE
You are a disgusting piece of $hit. You make my stomach curl. Its pieces of night soil like yourself that will never act with any face. This career ruining attempt you threaten will be faceless and manipulative. Your a #ucking terrorists. I know you went to an Al-Quada training camp. You love Saddam, and you want to have his babies, thank god your through menopause. I really wish I knew what your name was. If you're a man you would were a hat that says Scab when ever at customs or Skytel, or the restrauant at FLL. Dare ya.
dude

Just ate at Skytel the other day, Linda has done a fine job of fixing that place up. I have been around FXE for 14 years everyone knows me....Who are you???You must be a newbee. I am not out to destroy anyones careers nor do I care to, I have no desire to fly a Jungle Jet you guys enjoy that. You guys basically make fools of yourselves calling names and talking about something you know nothing of. Your time will come and when that happens after what I see on this board, people will cross---they always do. People will not cross--both will be doing what they feel best under the circumstances. So--get used to it.

Dear Turbo,

Freedom is looking for a few good men......

You're cleared to suck a little more of the "sap of integrity" out of the tree trunk of the airline industry.

Osama might need a pilot too. You'd be the perfect candidate.

crossing

The pilots of UPS supported the other UPS employees during their strike in the late 90's. It wasn't even our contract but not one of our pilots crossed.....not one. Right is right and wrong is wrong....there is no right reason to cross a picket line. I'd walk away from the career before that......

Turbo....you seem like a nice enough guy. This forum is full of guys that make me puke with what they say here....sometimes I wonder why I bother reading it or even bother coming here.

I think you made a mistake when you crossed the line. If I were you I'd just ignor the comments. You made your decision years ago and now you have to live with it but I wouldn't forever hate you because you made that decision. You'd be better served if you just admitted your mistake and helped others see why being is scab is wrong. Or maybe you don't feel that way.

If the pilots of UPS went on strike in an attempt to gain a fair contract and the company offered you 150K a year to be a captain....would you take the job?
