Look up Dr. Stryk in Metro Detroit. You can get a first class medical for $45 and if you go during daylight hours it's only a moderately dangerous area of the city.

I looked up AME's on the FAA website in Wayne, Macomb, Washtenaw, and Oakland Counties and couldn't find the Doctor you speak of. Is the good Doctor still doing medicals?

Whoops! Sorry about that. Dr. Stryk was my allergist when I was living there. The doc you want to look up is Dr. Alper. Great guy and he'll usually be able to get you in same day. At least that was my experience.
