Derelict ComAir CRJ in CBE.

Just wondering, what is with the CRJ at CBE (Cumberland). Got a strut that is colapsed. Looks like it has been there for a long time!!

Anyone know?

Ha I guess that would have helped!! Was something something something CA. I assumed it was Comair. Had the Delta paint on it, the most recent one. But the airplane doesn't look happy. Doesn't help that there is grass and weeds growing out of every crack at that airport.

the only thing missing about the paint was the Comair titles.

That was from Surplus' retirement flight. He was busy lecturing his junior f/o on how great he made his airline and forgot to flare! They're keeping it as a reminder why we still have the age 60 rule!

To my knowledge, Comair does not fly into CBE (Cumberland). Not scheduled, at least. The N-number may end in a CA but who knows who thew currrent owner is. Anyone's best guess.

you are correct they dont. But it is current Delta connection paint, and has a ComAir tail number on it. just does't say comair.

PS no onne should fly into cumberland. Hard to tell where the grass ends and the pavement starts.

I know there have been plane swaps and give backs over time. I saw a Comair plane the other day that ended in SW. So, at some time, the plane was flown by SkyWest.

Sure there have, but it has a ComAir tail number and has Delta paint job. Here is a pic of what it looks like. I assume it was stored there, oh well I think I am giving a little to much thought about it, doesn't really matter. So I don't care about it anymore.

I know there have been plane swaps and give backs over time. I saw a Comair plane the other day that ended in SW. So, at some time, the plane was flown by SkyWest.

They've been swaping planes for a while. Comair I think has at least 10 ex-OO CRJ-100s in their fleets. Maybe the one you saw in CBE is being traded to ASA or OO? Is there a paint shop there? Could be getting new titles on it! Now I really wanna know!

That airport is a dump. I mean a real dump. I think clipper connection served there for a while, but not any more. The airplane in question has a colapsed strut, and vertical black steaks (due to rain) going down all over the fuslage. I would say its there for extended rest. I believe it to be the only Jet on the field.

If it is in fact missing a strut, it happened when landing at CBE, which I highly doubt, since we don't fly there. More likely, a part was swiped from it.

The strut is not missing. Its for sure being stored there, all the covers are on. The strut is colapsed, ie needs to be serviced.
