I recently flew with one of the most junior 75/76 captains at DL. He was a 91 hire.
Methinks this is probably a Connection pilot blowing some sunshine up someone's whazoo.
Probably some new hire on the ER with a type who thinks since he sits in the left seat while the boss man is on break, that's makes him a captain. Tool.
Is your "friend" a he or the 757 CA?
Just curious, how many guys did Delta hire during the big hiring period between 1997 and 2001?
He's probably a FO but says he's a captain because he has a type rating
If you are type rated then techinally you could be Capt.

767 captain is only as junior as '97 hire. Youngest possible age is 38 for captain. Just have to look it up.

Hey, I was a CR7 captain at 29 and that sounds alot like 757 to me. That e175 sounds like 75 too. I did fly with an ATL 88 captain who was 34 but that is impossible on the 75.

Sweet! So as a 95 hire would I hold a line? Puffy, before you flip out I am just yanking your chain.![]()

You would indeed, in my right seat!!
yep, if the real captain dies, you get to be in charge until you get on the ground. Your airline will be so impressed that on your next trip you get to be........an FO.
At most airlines, if the Captain and First Officer die....then the "lead" flight attendent gets to become "captain"
Can you say tool. Try a regional first, I am sure the captains there will show you how to handle yourself in a plane-but someone needs to show you some manners and humility somewhere else.
