I think that's probably a good idea scooter-
Maybe stop by the doc and get some blood pressure meds along with the Viagra this time

STOP IT! Just because management is breeding hate, doesn't mean we need to be their pawns in the game. We are all pilots, no matter which company we work for! This crap has gone on too long!

Management didn't make any DALPA pilot vote for outsourcing over the years. So that's a nice sentiment, but we are all very interconnected and have a responsibility to speak up-
IMHO.
And I do not hate them- even scoot- it's the best career out of te legacies IMO- but the outsourcing is flat out unacceptable.

Or you could go to southwest if you just pony up the money. Based on the posters here, the only requirement is for your mom and dad to have a thick checkbook.
Of course furloughs are more likely at southwest before they start hiring again.

I don't think SWA will be furloughing anytime soon!

Excluding items, net income was $273 million, or 36 cents a share. Analysts had estimated 33 cents. Including items, primarily unrealized losses related to fuel hedging, net income was $228 million, or 30 cents a share, compared with $161 million, or 21 cents, in the same quarter a year earlier. Revenue rose 11.6% to $4.6 billion, in line with estimates.

Operating income, excluding special items, was $485 million compared with $276 million a year earlier.

"We are producing very strong results despite a fragile economic environment," said CEO Gary Kelly, in a prepared statement. "Record revenues driven by steady growth were sufficient to overcome high jet fuel prices and produce a record operating income of $485 million."

Kelly said the merger with AirTran produced $80 million in net, pretax synergies in the first half of 2012 and is expected to produce $400 million in 2013, excluding acquisition or integration expenses.

Well, at least you admit that you are nothing more than a flamebaiter. Thanks for being honest. It's just really pathetic, and kind of sad, that an active line pilot for a great company like Southwest Airlines has, as his major hobby, flamebaiting on an internet message board on a nearly daily basis. Literally....Unbelievable and sad.

I find it refreshing to all the angst in here myself. Everyone needs a good laugh.

UPS is profiting in the billions and they furloughed. I don't think they were getting rid of 80+ airplanes either.

PtP

Apples to oranges in so many ways

Ups v Swa

For the love of god eh?
Don't worry cool guy, I'm getting bored and will be on sabbatical soon enough
