Not So Sure
I haven't done any in depth analysis, but I'd be willing to bet the new DAL rates are still one of the highest if not the highest in the industry. You can't just look at book rates when computing compensation. Did they give some? Definitely! Did they "bring down or destroy the profession?"...hardly. EVERYONE is giving back right now. It is part of the cycle. I'm sure there are still plenty of takers for DAL cockpits when they become available again. Good Luck DAL.sleepy said:So I guess DAL management will be getting their post-concession bonus' any day now?
The only thing that I amusing in this is after several years spent reading posts on the ALPA message boards from DAL pilots trashing ASA and Comair pilots (and Airtran, JB, and SWA pilots too) for destroying the "profession" with lower wages, the chickens have finally come home to roost. Now the SWA pilot can post about how the DAL, USAir, and Untied pilots are bringing down their wages and destroying the "profession". LOL!
