Quit drinking the kool-aid man. I could care a less if I ever goto a major or not. Im sure as hell not gonna roll over just because mainline ALPA said so. Sorry no more koolaid. BTW impeaching alpa is the best thing a delta pilot could do. That way you don't have to "hold the line" for nothing. Yea thats right some other airline will swoop right in and fly without batting an eye. It won't be struck work if you liquidate. Then what? You sit there collecting unemployment, no one even gives a crap about what you did and now you have just taken a lot larger paycut than if you would have used logical thinking. As far as comair goes I have no apologies if larger aircraft ever hit the property. Growth = QOL and I don't wanna start over.

You sound like you would be a great negotiator! Either that or you are a member of DAL's management. Next thing you will say is, "I don't care about living in a democracy - I just want to be comfortable in a dictatorship." Thank you for caring about the sliding wage levels that will ultimately impact you as well.

Management does need to go....I have no idea who does the marketing for DL, but it blows. The airline has this bunker mentality, thinking nobody will invade Fortress Atlanta...well guess what???

ohplease, you must be the internets toughest guy.

and skywest won't need you if DL dies. Hell they barely need you now.

don't want to be called names? don't call others names. I'll tell the folks in Dothan you give your best wishes for them. By the way, where do you suppose those people from Dothan are headed? I'd bet they were going to get on a bigger jet with Delta painted on the side of it.

I heard from an ASA pilot that Dothan has a few Condom factories. Hey Ohplease, your next job could have you doing Howie Mandel impersonations with you blowing a condom up over your head. I would pay money to see that! Your act could follow mine at the Laugh Barn every Tuesday night. See you there, but you have to clean the lavs first. Enjoy it.

Jerry A. might have been thinking of assests only. Delta will sink and take ASA (The worst airline in the US ) with it, leaving SKYW with a boatload of equipment and gates in ATL.

You are right LCC's what the publis wants. Business travelers want Legacy carriers like DAL and NWA, but cannot be their saviors. CEO's will see more profit in their pockets if they send sales rep's on LCC's. First and Business class are nice, but not worth the price of admission. Besides, most are filled with bitchy non rev's.

Hey, maybe you didn't get the memo, but SkyWest owns ASA, and they would take a huge loss. Then SkyWest's SLC hub would go bye bye too, unless they wanted to be the next Indy Air against Southwest and company. Nah, they have too many 50 seat RJs, and that will kill them. They will try to get new work with those planes, but at really really low rates, and that will be taken out on the employees, that are left. The United side may go untouched, but SLC and ATL hubs for ASA/SkyWest would be GONE. And, no other Major has the money (thanks to recent high gas bills) to expand quickly into an old DL hub, and the LCCs don't want RJ feed. I hope it doesn't happen.

the next big thing won't have to need me. They'll need SkyWest and they already have me. dumbass.

save me a place in the unemployment line. You would be toast, since SkyWest hasn't merged your seniority lists. They will take "their own" first, and leave you in the dust. I sure hope it doesn't happen. See you at Wendy's.

HOpe for the best expect the Worst

How do you know SkyWest would close ATL and SLC? The Reason SkyWest will still live is because they have a 2nd partner. UAL. I guarantee UAL would snap up the profitable markets out of ATL and SLC. SkyWest would have to chose what to do with the rest. SkyWest is currently looking for a 3rd and possibly a 4th partner.

Lets keep it real and hope DAL management gets beat this time around. My personal opinion is that they will get beat one way or the other.

On a demoralizing side note just think where DAL and UAL would be if we would have had john *fcuking* kerry in the whitehouse.

Can you really guarantee that? You can't. Neither can JA. It would take MONTHS for a large scale operation to unfold, and ASA would die in the process, and SkyWest's SLC hub would lose all connection cities ( in Montana and other Western States) and Southwest would kill it to the larger cities (LAS, LAX, PHX, SEA, BOI, PDX, STL, etc). How many extra UAL planes do they have? How long would it take to recall and train their furloughed people? Months. SkyWest's cash would drain quickly. I sure hope it doesn't happen.

General,

I know you are a smart guy, but Jerry A. and his Skywest team are very savy and will make deals with other carriers to stay alive. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see DAL or NWA die. I would love to see each of their pilot groups tell MGT to stick it and strike to show they mean business. Until somebody kicks MGT in the shins, MGT will yeild only to it's stockholders. Somebody needs to show both MGT and the stockholders that w/o the crews, no airline can do business. Unhappy workers = bad business.

Easy guys... No "S" word. We at ALPA will negotiate a settlement. ALPA always looks out for it's "paying" cutomers. Now, don't forget to pay your DUES.

Really? Hmmmm... Maybe if I was a junior pilot at Delta I would take a UPS or Fedex spot just to get out of the Airline Biz for more job security! Other then that I wouldn't leave Delta.

Try again, one to SWA and one to Cathay.

Quit hitting on me. It must be the Delta pilot uniform.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Yeah, he likes guys who dress like Russian submarine captains.

Sorry guys, but Moak's comments are "Saber Rattling 101". GL and 737 are toeing the line like good trade unionists are expected to do.

I must say that I'm disappointed in General Lee and 737 Pylt for engaging "oh please". You guys are bigger than that. Ignore the twirp like the rest of us do instead of giving him what he wants by engaging him and trading insults! Put those advanced degrees y'all brag about to work!

I didn't say anybody won't left Delta you Nub!! Re-Read!!!

"Won't left Delta"? Does that constitute your entire knowledge of sentence construction? I was not accusing you either. I only typed that because it is so unusual. Sorry you got all wound up. English as a second language is just down the hall.
