On the fence, probably vote yes...I don't think even a small percentage of NWA pilots would consider passing up extra $ for my sake. There will be fair negotiations after corporate closure anyhow right? NOT. I think the NWA MEC has missed a golden opportunity...it is not fair to their rank and file.

At first I thought this letter was a slap in the face

towards us NWA pilots, the more I read the more I

see it is not (some guys will take it that way).

If you have a chance to get money out of mgt

by all means take it, don't think for a second

R Anderson won't stab you at his first chance.

We have seen him in action before.

Also are being told your MEC gave us a "take it or

leave it option" if that is true I am glad we didn't

take the first one. The 1000 phantom slots would

have been enough for me to say no.

I don't believe everything our mec tells us nor should

you about yours! There are big pilot egos in play.

At some point we will have to work together.I am

confident after all the name calling and chest puffing

we can get this done.....In my opinion.

Don't put too much credence in comments like "take it or leave it". Anyone can characterize a position at the end of a negotiation that fails to result in an agreement as a "take it or leave it" position.

For example, if you're in a car dealership haggling over the price of a car and don't come to an agreement with the salesman, was your last offer a take it or leave it position, or was his last offer a take it or leave it position?

I don't know as I wasn't there, but you HAVE to admit that there have been a lot of DAL folks here saying over and over that DALPA's position was that they had formulated a "fair" proposal and did not come to negotiate as the time frame did not allow for that. In other words, the first sentence of your post should be directed at most of your DAL buds that live here on FI. Or I guess I could say that your comment:

therefore means not to put too much credence in a lot of your side's posts here on the subject. Fortunately,....I already knew that;)

I predicted 80/20. I am surprised that a full 25% of the eligible voters did not vote at all. Unbelievable.

For the NWA guys, remember this: this is ONLY an insurance policy against a long, torturous process a la USAir.

We do NOT want LOA 19 to take effect at all: we want a joint contract and negotiated SLI to both be effective by the DCC, rendering LOA 19 obsolete and never in effect.

Cheers to a combined great carrier and pilot group.

I'm not too surprised, given the short voting window and the new voting procedures. Other than assessments and strike authorizations, LOA19 had the second highest vote in favor percentage in Delta history.
