cjh, I just got a "page not found" from the paper's website. Maybe it's old news to them.

This isn't over, and in fact it isn't even a reason to rejoice. The pilot in question has beat a local complaint, but the circumstances of a pilot merely being charged with this offense diminishes the status of the pilot community in the eyes of the flying public, something I think we can agree that we don't need right now.

Next up: the feds. Here, he may not be so fortunate.

OJ? He's searching for the real killer on every golf course in a sunny climate...

Hey that link worked!

What a moron, eh? Wouldn't you hate to be this guy's instructor? I hope he's ready for an FAA colonoscopy...

By the way, when did American Flyers become a college?

I dunno', but the media reported it so it must be true!

"If we found he broke any FAA certifications, we would have to take action on that," agency spokesman Christopher White said.

Certifications?

"Davis will be prosecuted under a 1986 law aimed at cracking down on substance abuse in the transportation industry. If convicted, he could face a maximum of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, according to FAA rules."

Prison?! Great! I bet the FAA would like to hand out prison sentences.

Now, convicted of a state felony in Fla - that may get you time in the joint.
