Boiler Up hit the nail on the head. I know of another person this happened to. There are many others who have carried a pocket knife (happened to me, figured it out before I hit the metal detector), ammo, etc, and gotten busted with it. Unfortunately I don't think there will be "no harm, no foul". Hopefully there's a few avid shooters in the Delta offices that will understand.

Happened to me had .357 SIG round somehow find its way into a nook in my bag(I use the same bag to travel to the range and fly). You shoulda seen how bizerk TSA went. They never saw a round like that before. Cops were even kinda surprised themselves. Wasn't really a big deal, but it was embarassing to say the least and I'm sure I'm on some kinda watch list somewhere now.

It's easy to forget or overlook certain prohibited items and it happens all the time. Charges most likely will not occur as long as it's clearly unintentional and other travelers were not effected. It's a shame when people see firearms as something other then a tool
