Apropos nothing, but FYI, PHL has NO edge lights on taxiways. Very late at night it is easy to leave the taxiway and wander off onto grass (thinking you're on the ramp).

Been there, done that ... what saved me was the hour (1 am) and very cold (10F) and hard grass and only one controller handling all freqs.

If it happens to you, there's always the NASA form.

AHHHH the "Philly trailer", aka "the crack shack". Remember when the mens room toilets would overflow and nobody would clean it for about a week. The pond that formed in the middle of the low spot on the mens room floor, little pieces of toilet paper and turd floating around. Don't forget the maggots in the trash can by the coffee machine.

The Allegheny picnic table with the "built in bench" that had been repaired so many times with 2by4's, speed tape, and cheep stripped screws. The whole assembly weighed like 300 pounds. I there the day it collapsed and pinned a Piedmont capt and FA between the bench and table bottom.

Speaking of furniture, remember the lice infested sofa that sat in the front park of the trailer in the days before they "built" the Mesa side crewroom. When mesa bought the new blue sofa and lounge chair the lice sofa migrated to the rear of the trailer where the rampies lived. They had a 27 inch TV with a play station, cable and DVD/VCR. Non of them would work as they were all inside dealing crack or playing some video game.

remember the Mesa crewroom wars.....

Putting porn on the Mesa crew computer (wasn't me) and supergluing the mouse to the top of the desk (wasn't me either).
Hmmmm. You must be a pre-furlough ALG dude. I distinctly remember someone taking a massive dump all over one of the stools, tank, floor, wall and everything that sat there like a modern art museum piece for a week until someone filed a grievance over it. I never got sick from one of Kevin-the-ramper's hot meat sandwiches, though. Go figure.

I know somebody who got crabs from a couch in the Bridgeport crew room, too. Eewwww.
