Super92:

They can merge the operation without a joint contract. We can do the SLI, then the contract. Heck, that's ALPA's merger policy.

If we knew the SLI our negotiating priorities might be better and we would be better able to negotiate what we need - issues like scope, commuting, relocation, displacement bidding and furlough - all issues that we might take more seriously if we knew that we were effected.

You know good and well thats not the best way to do this. Both MECs agreed to do it this way to avoid dragging the joint contract out and being the next USAIR.

Have you seen the TA and all its details? Not rumors but have you seen it? Before you get bent out of shape and get worried about things that havent even happened yet, go to the road shows, ask your questions and give the process time. We have smart people working on our behalf, do you think your MEC isnt working on your behalf? Why the distrust in your MEC now and not before? Bottom line is there is no point in getting worked up when you/we dont even have half of the facts. Our MECs have done well so far, have faith in them.

Schwanker:

You should be concerned. However, the 767 displacements will be to a mainline jet. The DC9 replacements will be off the list.

You're basing your arguments on issues that havent come up yet. As of right now the DC9s are going to be sticking around (61 instead of 58 ;)) and replacing some regional feed. Again there is no point getting worked up over things that haven't happened.

I'm kind of curious if the DAL reserves will be brought up to the NWA 75 hour/month guarantee or if the NWA reserves will be reduced to the DAL 70 hour/month guarantee. I know it's only 5 hours a month, but in one year of reserve now, I've yet to break 70 hours.

Brownie...you weasel!

MSP ROCKS!

You're just allergic to culture and refinement.

Sure, we've got our issues...

The recent uptick in sectarian violence (Sunni Lutherans vs Shiite Lutherans) has caused tater tot futures to soar (cancel the Hot Dish for the church social!), and sensible pantsuit prices to stagnate.

...so there's that.
