Try to get cheap health benefits at 63. Well, at least Delta is painting all of the aircraft..money well spent, who cares about peoples health benefits.

The aircraft are only being painted as it comes time for them to get a new paint job... they are not being pulled off the line just to get sprayed with the big tilted widget. This is why you see 5 or however many different paint schemes out there.

Should'nt be to hard to find out what this tankerclown's real name is. Would'nt mind black-balling this clown

I agree Hardcorr.....it seems he wants that SWA real bad...it would be a real shame if you made it harder for him....can't be too hard to track this monkey around, he brags too much.....let's see, 17 yrs. KC-10 guy....start the puzzle....

He'll hang his ownself in the interview anyway......

Sorry to dissapoint you Lumburgh....but I don't live in base housing. The gub'ment takes pretty good care of me. Never even asked me to give back any money. Pension hasn't been taken away either....or medical for that fact. It's kinda hard to believe that we've been able to do that withouth the help of ALPA. We actually make more now than we did in 2000. It's a pretty radical concept.

I'll tell you when I interview at Delta. I'm going to list my boy Bill at DAL as a reference.

We now see what having too many high CASM rjs running around in the system will do to your bottom line. This is Whitehurst's legacy as he tried to kill jetblue in JFK by adding 100's of rj flights to slow everyone down.
Yea don't worry, he's already gone with his cash (your pay raise), redneck left when he didn't get the CEO job.

Tanker Clown, man how did you manage to score a $25K a year bonus. No one in any unit I have ever been in got a $25K bonus a year? I do understand Base pay plus BAH but even BAH isnt all that high unless you live somewhere with a high cost of living and there are not to many KC-10 units that are located in a high cost of living town, but I could be wrong.. 25K a year bonus.. wow

The continuation bonus was $25K/year to the 20 year point. I took it at the 10 year point so it was a $250 bonus. Check your BAH rates/locations. I do alright.

Hey tanker clown...I don't get it, you bash Delta every chance you get, then in the next sentence you say you want to work for Delta. What gives???

Huh? Most of the RJs that will be parked will be the 37 seaters in CVG, which are truly inefficient. And his cash wouldn't even give our top 100 guys a large pay raise. We will get the mandatory 1.5% a year raise, plus 5% of our W2 for this year as a bonus early next year. Also, I think Anderson was a better choice than Whitehurst, although I did like his style. He was too young and needed a few more years IMO.

Bye Bye--General Lee

It's almost like the General only reversed. Weird.

That is right. I think Southwest is a great company with great pay, great stews, and great management for now. But, I would not want to do multiple leg days with 25 minute turns in one aircraft type for the rest of my life, to places like LBB. Maybe he is my long lost twin?

Bye Bye--General Lee

Tanker Clown....you are looking like a clown....relax....you will not fit in here at SWA always looking for a fight. 17 year point...you may be falling into the Kernal category fast. Relax and quit picking a fight. Go back to the vault if you can't play nice.

That's my worry too General. Delta was a great place to work (6yrs) until the company went into survival mode. All bets were off then. Swa has some tough times ahead. We'll see how Mgt handles themselves when things get really tough.

Hardcorr You left Delta??

Good call man......don't look back....

Everybody predicts SWA "has it coming to them soon", which is a pretty easy statement to make when profits have been flowing for 30 some odd years sort of a king of the hill thing....everytime somebody chimes in that it'll be tough there, your management breaks the code....

I wish we had a management of action (like SWA), rather than one of excuses...(High oil prices, Labor rates, weather in the Northeast, Hassle factor...etc.etc...)
