AWESOME!!!

No, he's not 12! Are you serious?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles appeals to 10 year-olds, not 12, unless his sack hasn't migrated south yet.

Delta Pilots will strike...

tie1on said...>>>what makes you think the DAL pilots have the balls to strike. They have a history of never striking. So what is so different now. They wil not do it because they cannot do anything else other than fly, there are very few aviation positions available. flame away. I don't care.<<<

Boy tie1on, I don't even know where to begin with you!

What's different now you ask? WHAT'S DIFFERENT NOW!!! Where have you been??? Living under a rock? DAL pilots hourly wages have been cut by 46.5% since 12/04! This doesn't include pensions... gone, higher healthcare costs or much worse workrules. Now the company is asking for more. GMAFB!

I just downloaded my 3-15-06 paycheck. IT SUCKS!!! I MEAN IT REALLY SUCKS!!! I could go to any LCC upgrade in 2-4 years and make way more money than I'll ever make at Delta!!!

Here's why we'll strike, the threat of strike might prevent another paycut or change in our scope clause. It's worth making a stand now. What have we got to lose if we strike???... We lose our job with Delta...SO WHAT? The pay and benefits will suck under the new agreement. In fact I would be making more per hour had I chosen to STAY AT THE COMMUTER AIRLINE I WAS WITH BEFORE DELTA,ten years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!arghhh!!! Flying a an airplane 1/5 of the passengers of what I'm flying now!!!!!!!!!!!

The last pay cut vote passed by a meager 8%. Most voted to pass the agreement in December 05 only to give DALPA a few more months to negotiate with the company. Now that we see the company not negotiating, but giving themselves severance packages and stock options bonuses we are regretting that vote. This next vote I can assure you will not pass if includes another pay cut or a whack at our scope clause.

Look at the NWA vote, it will not pass. That's why the NWA MEC kicked it down to the membership. They wanted this vote to be on their shoulders. It will be the same here at Delta. We've all got the same playbook.

Go back three years, substitute United for Delta, and it's deja vu all over again.

Agree and disagree. DAL management has waited to long to react to anything in the industry so they may actually have to liquidate.

I beleive the DAL pilots will make a stand and put up a hell of a bigger fight than UALs. Remains to be seen.

In the end it's a draw. If the DAL bk judge is anything like UALs(Eugene) then the whole company is screwed, especially the pilots.

If you guys ultimately agree to these concessions I don't want to hear any pissing and moaning about Jetblue.

I don't have a stake in this fight and wouldn't dream of telling pilots how they need to vote. It's up to them to decide.

But I do have some unsolicited advice to make your life better while being subjected to the whole bankruptcy process.

As you folks can see...not many people offer sentiments for your predictament. They will, however, not hesitate to tell you how to vote, how the ship is sinking, how you've brought down the industryif you don't vote "their way."

Having been through this before....I would recommend that you stop signing on to message boards. Cut back on the negative news. You are in a process where you are pretty much along for a bumpy ride. Make the best of it. Spend more time with your family. Get things done around the house. If you're on a trip get out and see the sights instead of lying depressed in your hotel room. Keep busy!

It's easy to get sucked in by all of the negativity. Isn't it funny how those giving you advice on how to vote are usually those that seem to want you to fail as evidenced by their comments?

Hang in there.

Yeah...and the First Wife knows her $6,000/month alimony will keep coming....even if he has to go back to the narrowbody!

Boy, is he sorry he (________________________)

HVY's advice

HVY...

You sir are a most wise one. What's your career story? Just curious, sounds like you've been around the block once or twice...

I appreciate your advice, and will try to follow it. You sure can WASTE a lot of time on these message boards.

My job in this whole mess is to continue to be a professional at work, stay as informed as possible and stay off the message boards because nobody will change my mind, and I probably am not going to change someone else's either. Then when the time comes I'm voting NO to any more pay cuts! I'll accept whatever happens after that with a clear conscience.

General Lee- When your new work conditions become routine please post some info so fellow pilots can help you out. The bent over position will be handy for picking weeds or simple plumbing. I'll add you to the address book for the simple labor around the house. STRIKE FROM DALPA---IT"S A JOKE RIGHT? WHERE"S HANK DUFFY WHEN YOU NEED HIM? REMEMBER NO WHIMMPERING WHEN THE SKYCAP FLIPS YOU A 5 SPOT FOR POLISHING HIS SHOES.

AHHA HAHHAHA . Good one. What are you? A desperate housewife looking for a beefcake gardener? I thought so. You're hillarious. Maybe you can be my stand in at the Laugh Barn when I am too tired to do my comedy routine.

Bye Bye--General Lee
