I was wondering if anyone knows the specifics on DAL internat. JS. Going to Buenos Aires out of ATL. Thanks, Porch

Good luck getting out of ATL!
Yesterday it took me 9 hours to get to get out of ATL bound for SEA. All of their flights heading to the west coast were totally full.
Delta is not yet part of CASS so no access to the flight deck.

I've used DAL twice Int'l. Go to the customer service desk in the Internationall departures area in ATL AT LEAST 75 mins before departure time to be passport listed. If you don't do this, you WILL NOT get on the airplane, period. Also, grab some JS forms for the way back in case they don't have them in BA.

Also, you have to be on their list of carriers with JS agreements. Most majors/regionals/cargo, ect are, but just make sure. Also, be sure to look exactly how your carrier is listed in their system. When departing the foreign country they have to verify that you are on the list. If you work for a carrier that provides regional feed for somebody, ex, Delta Connection operated by Atlantic Coast Airlines your company may be listed as ACA or whatever. If you don't know, it can be a pain trying to describe it to the gate agent in whatever country you are trying to get out of.

When coming back, I'd recommend showing up at the ticket counter at least two hours before departure. This is incase you have to pay an extortion/ JS tax to leave the country, and the place you have to pay it at is at the other side of the airport. Also, some foreign countries wont just let you through security in uniform, or with a badge, they may have to get somebody to escort you through, which may take a while.

Enjoy, I hear the senorita's are smoking hot down there, and they actually know how to treat a man right, imagine that.

I Jumped on DL pre 9-11 to Frankfurt. Based on that experience, definitely show up good and early. Also you'll have to pay a R/T tax at the info desk prior to departure. This could take a while.

On my way home, MD-11, a crusty captain denied me the Jumpseat because I didn't have my FAA medical on me. I guess that was not a good thing on my part, but puhlease.... The crew the next day let me go so I made it home thank god.

Anyhow....

Don't know about DL procedures, but as far EZE goes....

On the way back if you're in uniform you'll save half hr at the security line and another 45 minutes at the outbound immigration checkpoint.
In case you have problems with DL agents, go to United desk (list yourlsef at least 3 hrs prior to the flight) and they are familiar with jumpseating policies or ask for Alejandro (supervisor there) he knows the deal. You have to pay taxes and a "security fee" which together can run for 30-40 bucks (and I think the security fee must be payed in argentinian pesos ONLY, the other one may be US dollars). Give yourself 2hrs at least since there are 6 EZE-US bound flights leaving within a 2-3 hr period and the terminal gets packed!!!

While there go eat steak at "Siga la Vaca" in Puerto Madero and have one for me. Ice cream is the best in the world, go to "Via Flaminia", "Freddo" or "Munchi's". Hot women down there too, can get a top class VIP hookcer (or two) for 40 bucks...
Enjoy BA!!!
