The sad reality is, the passengers don't know Delta took over. They rode on ASA and will still report to the DOT that "ASA lost their bags". We still look bad in the end, just now, we have no control over it. Kind of like Orenstien's issues with UAL.

Great solution, Delta and ASA!
He!!, 90% of the pax don't know who ASA is anyway. They, by god, bought a ticket off the internet for $49 to go cross country on Delta. Just keep their delusion alive by doing what I do...."hello folks, welcome aboard Delta flight xxx to BFE"....;)

The passengers would remember how they got stuck in a narrow tubestick for 1.5 hours sweating and waiting for a gate, missing the connection as Gen Lee's CDG pushes back out the window and spending a lovely evening at Red Roof Inn in College Park with no clean underwear. So Delta says "Let bring more RJs into ATL, this sounds like a good idea" "We are bringing customers from all over the country non-stop from places like TUS on a RJ!" Not only it's comfortable and quiet, but it's very cost effective while we try to connect all the dots on the map!" And also, let's try to keep it simple by bringing in about 7 different Delta Connection carriers!

Ohplease! you would say that .... You are a yes man.. and now you tuck your tail and hide behind Mother D because you are embarrased you work for ASA... ... and now this.

GUESS WHAT OHPLEASE! YOU DONT WORK FOR DELTA, YOU WORK FOR ASA

As far as waiting over an hour to park yesterday.... It had nothing to do with the ramp personel... It had to do with the fact that the north and west vector gates were closed due to extream weather, and ground control was only taking 2 aircraft off the ramp every 15 to 20 minutes.. It was an absolute ATC cluster fvck.

Dawggonit! You're soooo easy. You know, if you actually had a brain, you be dangerous. PUTZ.....

oh, BTW. Last night (during the ATC thing) we waited nearly 2 hours. Sunday night was when we waited 1 hour to park and it was absolutely a ramp issue. The bottom line is: Delta Airlines sucks and its obvious why they went into bankruptcy court. Now they've come in to take over for lowly little ASA and really d!cked things up for us too.

Things were better the last couple months because the ASA folks didn't want to screw up their chance at DAL. Now that they're there they don't do anything. It's worse than it was before. They are above supporting lowly ole ASA. Funny, DAL didn't think the ramp needed to be fixed until they sold ASA. Then they bought the ramp back and are going to find it more difficult than they thought.

Bingo

When DL took over the ramp we all knew it was not going to be a waving of the wond and poof - Its All Fixed. When you take the combination of reduced gate space with an increase of the number of flights per day, throw in some wx with a sprinkle of mx a/c and what do you expect. These are issues that DL hopefully took note of and will make some adjustments.

FYI - waited to park 2.5 hrs in ATL last night, made a few PAs, played solitare and got payed.

The latest thing that I have noticed a few times is that we are ready to push back, but a whole bag cart of luggage has gone missing from the bagroom. Not sure what the deal is with this...maybe it was just coincidental, but twice we have been waiting for the rampers to find the passenger's luggage at pushback time.

It's a Delta thing. Last night I non reved up to JFK on a 76, we waited 2hrs 35mins to be parked! Oh yeah we landed 30mins early.

And has anybody else noticed that ops will NOT answer the radio anymore! I talked to one captain who wrote up COMM 2 in the Mx can saying he was broadcasting on 136.5 and apparently nobody could hear him!!! Histerical....

Why would Delta taking over the ramp make any difference? They owned us for 6 years and didn't fix it when they owned us.... the problems are much deeper than most realize....

It was actually better last month than it is now....

I have never been a fan of Delta Medeco..... believe it or not, I am not what you think... I am amazed at all the people who think Delta Air Lines hung the moon.... I am glad Skywest bought us.....

I think we would agree on more than we would disagree.... I don't drink the koolaid of EITHER side.....
