Until you are in our shoes....you have NOTHING to add to this subject!

Wow, thats quite an assumption...how do you know I haven't walked in those shoes?

Delta Builds On Successful Los Angeles Expansion With 21 New Daily Flights to Nine Cities...

Hmmm. Didn't Delta try this in DFW a few years back? With an unpleasant result?

When are they going to learn that you can't afford to staff a base with RJs alone? The cost structure is too high, and the yield too low.

I guess they have a hard time learning from history over in Widget world, since the make the same mistakes over and over and over.

OMG is *that* the pot calling the kettle black. So it's MGT's fault when ASA "takes" some flying from XYZ airline ("I just go where I'm told.") and but now you're a victim of evil EJet?

Labor has to stop fighting labor.

The main reason we are doing this is to keep our gates away from Alaska Airlines, who wants our Terminal 5, and we have to keep the gates occupied. Right now Alaska has to send a lot of their INTL flights from Mexico over to the outer pads for Immigration and Customs, whereas we have a large facility in terminal 5. We don't want to give that up, especially since we do have plans for INTL expansion there evntually. We are waiting to get more mainline planes (which may come a lot sooner than later) to eventually replace some of these RJs on larger routes, and we have recently added LAX to SEA and LAS on mainline planes. But, you obviously know better, and can predict our future based off of past management that are long gone after their huge mistakes..... Stick to Valdosta and we'll handle the rest...

End of the year this is where 9E's CRJ 900's will fit in. They are going to handle the larger Mexico, Central America flights. They've been equipped for foreign airsspace (HF, etc.)

How far into South America are you talking? I don't think you need HF radio to go anywhere in Mexico from the West Coast. I can't see you getting to far offshore even going into Baja California on the West Coast of Mexico. I could be wrong about the need being as we have a 50 mile limitation now on the ERJ. Does 9E currently fly to any Mexico destinations?

Well I'll tell you what. When you have had 3 bases closed within 3 years....come talk to me, until then...SHUT YOUR YAP!! We (ASA) opened LAX, we were here to get the loads up to where they are making money and it was our employees that were inconvenienced with yet ANOTHER base closure! You know NOTHING of what you talk about....go back to sleep and let the Big Kids talk!
