THE 41-year-old niece of fashion icon Ralph Lauren has flown a team of lawyers in from New York as she faces a district court charge in relation to an alleged air-rage incident.

Jewellery designer Jenny Lauren was charged at Shannon garda station in relation to the alleged air-rage incident on board a New York-bound flight from Barcelona.
The legal team flew into Shannon this morning and made their way to Killaloe District Court where Ms Lauren is scheduled to make an appearance shortly.
The captain of the Delta Airlines flight, with 209 passengers and crew on board, diverted to Shannon airport at 1.05pm yesterday as a result of the alleged incident and Ms Lauren was arrested by Shannon gardai after touching down at 1.47pm.
The New Yorker was then brought by gardai for questioning to the garda station where she also met with a representative of the US embassy.
Gardai also took six witness statements from the captain of the flight and five other Delta flight crew.
Last night, Shannon gardai lay three separate charges against Ms Lauren.
She spent last night in custody at the station and will this morning appear before Killaloe District Court.
The Delta Airlines flight remained on the tarmac for over two hours at Shannon and continued its journey to JFK in New York at 4.15pm.
Ms Lauren operates a high-end jewellery business, Jenny Lauren Jewellery. A 'New York Times' profile in 2012 reported prices starting at $350 for a pair of earrings to $5,000 for a necklace. Last year, 'Forbes' magazine gave Ms Lauren's famous uncle, 74-year-old Ralph Lauren, a net worth of $7.7bn as a result of his worldwide clothing empire.
