I'm thinking the MD-90's will prly hang around. Nearly a third of the -88 fleet is leased, so it makes sense those would go when leases expire. And I suspect the remaining -88's are coming up on big airframe checks....

All a guess....

Hard to say what the announced fleet changes mean. It wasn't all that long ago RA was talking about how much they liked the MD88/90. They have 65 MD90s listed in the fleet count. 91 B717s.

What I'd like to see is more flying previously considered "regional" moved back to mainline proper. Maybe some of the announced purchases would be a move in that direction ?

Guessing for sure.:D

You're gonna see Mr Ed rear back, whinny, and settle the contract w/ fat raises and the C series at Endeavor, and XJT. Watch.
