Yeah, nothing but bitchin' about ASA on FI and you say Pinnacle is worse? All regionals suck within a very small margin of each other I would say.

Mesa continues to out perform other regional airlines in all categories over a three year period for UAL and Airways. For the record they were also number one with Delta the day when the contract was terminated.

Keep in mind, that these 12 700s originally came from Comair...In essence, the only reason we had them in the first place was because we were cheaper than Comair.

Now that explains why ASA refused to hire and run short. We're losing 8 700s and likely to lose 6 200s. This place is going to have Eagle like upgrades, maybe worse. Its official, ASA is a sinking ship. Too senior, too expensive. Not much hope left...

You must have selective amenisa. When the F8 contract ended the flying was out of CVG and a samll DTW operation. I grant you that F8 had no mx or crew base in DTW, but come on, how do either of those compare to JFK?

As for Mesa, its not that hard to maintain good preformance when one hub is PHX and there only 20 700s flying for UA, (Which they really like by the way,)and will keep them closer to on time than 50 seaters.

You mean former Eagle upgrades. Their situation has much improved recently. I expect we'll be downgrading and new upgrades will be pushed out to 2013 at the earliest. The funny thing is I could have worked at GoJet and lived at home if the reason for their existence hadn't been to screw over freinds at TSA. I still wouldn't have done it differently, but FML.

No dufus. I think SkyWest is smart enough to know you can't run an airline with CRJ 200's. Jeez.....

If I'm wrong then my apologies but as far as I know all they ever flew was CRJ 200's. That's all I ever saw anyway. If that's incorrect then please tell me what else they flew. I'd certainly like to know.

Two things to consider, regionals such as SKW and Pinnacle are staffing companies NOT airlines in the traditional sense. An airline has a marketing and reservation department.

Second, does SKW pay market rates for fuel? If not I find it hard to believe they would be profitable without subsidies from mother D.

I think Joe already did. So, before you call someone out get your facts right. Like redtail says give it a try. What is happening at republic right now with the whole frontier deal?
