We have a upcoming trip to Dayton, OH. Has anyone ever been to the aviation museums there? What else is there to do?

What all do they have at the USAF museum?

What all do they have at the USAF museum?

If the Air Force ever flew one, or tried to fly one, or paid someone to make one to consider flying one, or just crashed all the others...............they've got one @ Wright Patt. I ran through there once in about 4 hours and feel like I missed a bunch. I also dug the Air Force One exhibit.

Any idea if it is open in the evening or is it a 9-5 type place. A link to a webpage would be great. Thanks. Anyone here live in Dayton?

I liked the SR 71 exibit the best. You can spend all day there and still not see everything. They were working on a space exibit last time I was there.

I used to spend 2-3 hours per week at the museum in between classes at Wright State. I haven't seen it all. They keep adding more a/c.
9-5 almost every day of the year. I haven't seen a C-9 (DC-9) yet, but they have about any other U S Airforce plane you could name. It's a good place to spend a few days.

We just got our schedule for the trip and it appears that the only time we will have any free time will be outside the 9-5 hours. However, if the trip gos as planned we will be living in Dayton soon and will have all the time in the world to explore. I wonder if the museum sells annual memberships?
