I hate to see this work... by paying pilots (with the qualifications demanded) only $50K to fly a jet ... as PIC!

I know man...but what kind of revenue are they expecting to get and how is the demand.

...like our skies aren't crowded enough already. I still get holds now and then caues JAX ctr is saturated...

I won't even talk about JFK.

As said before, this is an entry level jet job, period. You are flying one of the least expensive jets made,in a service designed to be a real air taxi, and with two pilots. Yes it is a jet, but in many ways, a simpler aircraft than your average Baron.
This whole thing is in an infancy period. It is not designed to be some big airline flying out of big cities. One of my friends is there. She was with a major carrier and was furloughed. She has two kids and a husband with a good job. She got on with Dayjet and now has a weekday job flying the Eclipse. No she is not making the big bucks but this fits her fine. I am sure there are more out there like her.

Thats funny you mention a Baron. Thats what the pilot of Dayjet called it Baron on Steroids. I see them coming and going a lot. Mostly they are empty. All the employees have been real nice and eager to show the airplane to everyone.
I called the sales dept to see if we could use them as a supplement to our dept. but unless you go from dayport to dayport it was actually cheaper to charter a larger jet than use them.
I wish them good luck.. it is a tough market..
