SO the question of the day is...will ALPA make the effort to give seniority some merit and integrate by DOH? If it were any other union you could take your seniority with you.

ALPA does not have the balls to follow through with this idea. It seems that the seniority goes to he who has the most money left to contribute when the dust settles.

I call bullsheet.

No, I am not ex USAir.
Under ALPA's current merger policy, DOH would be unlikely due to DAL's young pilot group. A ratio style integration is more likely. But remember, ALPA doesn't make these decisions. ALPA simply has a policy that lays out a process with a few guidelines. The actual integration is negotiated between the two pilot groups, and if they can't come to an agreement it goes to arbitration.

Self educated I see..... shocking! You know more than most DAL and NWA Captains!!!

He's likely close to correct, though.

It'll be interesting if this does go through. The senior guys still have their pensions... I'm not sure how that will pan out with all our guys that lost theirs.

All in all... pilots still get screwed one way or another in a merger. I'm just crossing my fingers not to get furloughed if they actually do pull the trigger on this.
