I'm so stupid that I still can't figure out why Mgmt doesn't LEAD their company through a bankruptcy and share the pain that entails. If management wanted to get their employees on their side they would take equal or greater pay cuts first.

Management doesn't take pay cuts, because they walk in and tell the judge (or their lawyers) that they WILL leave (or they are pursuing other options) if they don't have incentives to stay. The judge doesn't know how to run an airline and knows how bad he'll look if he loses the management. So management ends up with huge pay increases and contingency parachutes to stay while pilots take it in the shorts. Pilots have already proven that they'll work for low wages and that they won't leave during a bankruptcy, so we end up with concessions. Management has balls. Pilots don't.

Speak for yourself, you worthless puddle of puke. The reason management can leave and go elsewhere is because gross incompetence is rewarded in airline management circles. Management will find a new job with more pay and benefits. Pilots working under a seniority system will start over.

I believe that the Delta shareholders should sue Leo Mullin for malpractice. He took a viable company with $6 bil in cash and equivalents, and ran it into the ground . . . . and was rewarded with millions on his way out. Same with Stephen Wolfe and a whole laundry list of airline scallawags and buffoons.

It doesn't have anything to do with "balls". It has to do with leverage. Management means it when they say they will walk - pilots don't. Management can leave and start over at the same or more in pay. Pilot's have to start all over again. That is a huge difference in leverage. Maybe ALPA should have given a national seniority list more thought.
