So ????????
what are the chances I got ticket for the end of may that I bought 6 months ago and sure can't afford to rebook from SMF to MCO via ATL
Not intending to start a debate just trying to figure out my vacation(long overdue)
If they do go what is the timeline and yes you can WAG it

wow, don't you know any better not to buy airline tickets 6 months in advance? I would guess if DAL happens to be on strike during your dates, another carrier would be happy to accept your tickets.

Hmmm is that the way thatworks>>didnt know..thanks Kevdog...BTW I love the avatar...thats why we are going to MCO

Honestly, don't know, just being sorta a wise ass. When companies go tits up other carriers do that, but maybe not if on strike. good luck and watch out for mouse dung in MCO.

following conversation happened to me today while waiting for my ride outside of Atlanta airport today March 30th...

While waiting, the media were set up right were I was standing. NBC crew starts walking toward the baggage claim and they see me in my uniform and ask me some questions. Oh, their was I guess a producer, a reporter, and an intern (I believe but she doesnt speak to me at all during the conversation)

Producer:
Excuse me sir, Are you a Delta pilot.

Me:
No I work for delta connection carrier that flies the smaller equipment for Delta Airlines.

Producer:
So you are not involved with this "fake strike" they are holding today?

Me:
No sir, I am not involved.

Producer:
Will you lose your job if Delta does strike?

Me:
I belive so because what I read that if Delta does strike, company will liquidate because Delta will not be able to function and if that happens, the planes that we fly for Delta will stop flying and will be parked and my company will start laying off pilots.

Producer:
Do you worry that you will lose your job?

Me:
I can't worry every day that I am going to lose my job. The important thing is is to have a backup plan incase that happens.

Producer:
Oh you have a backup plan, what are you going to do if you get laid off?

Me:
I am going to be a producer for NBC news in Atlanta, Georgia and I will do your job for 10% less of what you are being paid.

After I said that the producer walked away with a pi$$ed off look while the reporter (pretty looking blonde) laughed and said sorry to bother you sir, thank you for your time and have a nice day!

Just wanted to share that with yall

EMB170Pilot,

If I only had the presence of mind to come up with something like that. Don't know how you do it, but I am sure glad you did.
