Delta Pilots Nix Arbitration Suggestion

By Harry R. Weber, AP Business Writer Delta Pilots Reject Arbitration With Northwest Pilots to Ease Combination of the Carriers
ATLANTA (AP) -- Delta Air Lines Inc.'s pilots union rejected Wednesday the idea of submitting to arbitration with their counterparts at Northwest Airlines Corp. to break their impasse over integrating seniority lists as part of a possible combination of the carriers.
"In short, there will be no binding arbitration," Lee Moak, head of Delta's pilots union, said in an e-mail to The Associated Press. Pilot union leaders at Northwest had suggested in a memo to rank-and-file Northwest pilots on Tuesday that arbitration may be a way to break the deadlock. Traditionally, arbitration in these situations is binding. The memo said that "if management feels the time is now for consolidation, they would be wise to encourage both pilot groups to accept expedited arbitration
Yeah, the one that came with the BIGGEST seniority screwjob. Seniority....you know Robert....that thing that you are left with when the money is taken away at the drop of a DAL announcement. Like the furlough protection that was already agreed to in the "talks" that was then pulled off the table by RA. YCLIUYou just took away his BIGGEST payday
Steenland will make sure you pay for not playing. Your guys are just realizing this. You just took away his BIGGEST payday. In some ways you are saying "hey guys, why don't you call anymore? Don't you still like us??" You need to change your stance, or don't call. The boards want harmony and not what USAir has. Anderson realizes that too.
Bye Bye--General Lee
YCLIU
Yeah, I picked that up somewhere..Oh, man!
Here I'm in ALPA Web Board "recovery"...and you give me a beer!

Never forget....we know RA A LOT better than you do.
The fact that NWALPA would seek arbitration tells me that the NW and DL pilots were never close to an agreement on seniority integration and the fact the DL wants nothing to do with arbitration suggests that DL is/was too greedy with their seniority integration proposals.

BlhhhAAHHhhh!!!
Sh1t I just spit beer all over the damn monitor LOL!!!
The boards want MONEY...you tool!
Nothing more nothing less.
'Harmony'...GOOD ONE!
The USairways pilot debacle has left MILLIONS on the table that would have gone to pilots with a joint contract but instead has been left for management and share holders.
TOOL.
OK, so you don't know what YCLIU means....no problem...You Could Look It Up. Either that or your acronym is, alas, yet another example of a foul-mouthed, low class DAL pilot who has to resort to crap like that in lieu of substance. Hmmmm I wonder which it is...Hey, I do just fine regardless. It is your group that keeps coming back for more. Why is that? They must see something from Steenland that makes them look for alternatives. Or, the group itself is pressuring the Greenbook types to rethink their stance. We wouldn't accept any deal that doesn't have furlough protection, and Anderson knows that. Yeah, you know Anderson, and would love to have him over Steenland.
And YCLIU---well, YCGFY.
Bye Bye--General Lee
And TOOL, how have the Shareholders done at USAir? Seen the latest stock price? You call me a tool? Wow.
Bye Bye--General Lee
