Actually they turned their first profit in 6 years, $179 million after restructuring (legal) cost. Funny that is the same amount Northwest Airlines turned as a profit announced yesterday!
 
They will write it off.....and the taxpayers will pick up the bill.
 
Actually if you do any sort of reading you'll see that it is actually a pretty positive indication of a turnaround. $2.1B of that 'loss' is our pilot claim from the concessionary contract. Its actually a roughly $400million improvement over last quarter.

Anyway, there is still a lot to overcome but I think we're on the right track.

And that taxpayer comment made absolutely no sense. If it was a PBGC comment, the taxpayer doesn't pay for the PBGC.
