DAL Global Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, has been advertising for flight instructors recently.
Anybody know what the job is like, pay, benefits, and whether it would lead to an interview/job with Delta. I know in the late 1990s, DAL Global instructors who did two years there were eligible for an interview.
Also - whats the competition like? Are they taking a lot of the "early out" Delta retirees in the ATL area? Unfortunately I lack the one year of 121 or 135 instructor that they want - is this a hard requirement? I have almost 6 years in the 121 world, but I did not serve as an instructor.
I'm at the point of my career where I'd actually enjoy spending a couple years in a sim or teaching class, especially if it had the potential to lead to something bigger. I'd also enjoy the ATL area.
Thanks for any/all perspectives.
