Pretty standard right wing media response followed by a typical my way or the highway exit.
The reality is there are good and bad ideas from the right and left. We use to be a country that could work that out to the benefit of all. Now our politicians have become just as irrational and angry as the far right talk radio shows are. I'm guessing the price we all pay for congress taking dysfunctional to a whole new level is going to cause a lot of pain for a lot of people. Not so much for the higher earners, but the middle class is about to get hammered even further.

"Essential" Air Service. LOL! The name needs to be changed to porkbarrel air service. Look at which communities get a ton of EAS money and look at who represents them in Congress.
Woops! WV took a huge hit when Sen 'porkbarrel' Byrd kicked the bucket. WVers, hop in your pickup truck and drive to a city with a population greater than 100K.

EAS is a total waste of money. Pork. Kill the program; we can't afford it.

And for those of you who are in favor of this total waste of money, keep in mind that this stuff raises airline ticket prices, driving customers to other travel options. Like driving instead of flying. Or not traveling at all.
