I was just looking for any inside information at Piedmont. What's going on with the company? Are they hiring or looking to downsize/furlough? Are there people still in the pool? Any news on possible hiring in the future or a merger with PSA?

I thought pdt should have been out of business by now.

good pay rates for the might dash, though. or last i heard.

Not hiring and offering voluntary LOA's for Nov and Dec. Hopefully will not have to furlough, but who knows anymore. There are probably people in the pool, but I don't really know. No plans for a merger with PSA that anyone knows about.

Status quo at the 'mont. Nothing big really in the works. Installing TAMDAR in the airplanes, as well as EFBs in 20 of the airplanes under a trail program (FAA grant).

No new airplanes, we might keep what we have, we could furlough if the economy get worse. Definately not hiring pilots. Contract is amendable next year.

Funny thing, it looks like the Mighty Dash is gonna out live the 50 RJ's.

We are like zombies here at Piedmont. We aren't really alive, but were not really dead either.

Everytime you think we're done, we just keep coming back.

and we can fly slow unless u have a company man flying the plane

...And make the pax sprint for thier connections, screw commuters, drive up the block times so it is even HARDER to make money...

Nice job. Keep it up, really.

2500 hours. He hasn't been here long enough yet to know whether he is a company man or not.

Hey junior, learn a lesson. Don't just parrot what you hear in the crew room. Use your brain a little too.

Well, I dunno about that... I don't wanna give the little SOB any credit, but I knew when Heybuddy Buttcannon interviewed me that he couldn't be trusted. Made being a non-company man pretty easy. Never could figure out what the company men could see that I couldn't. Judging by the amount of complaining I heard from them it wasn't much.

Bottom line is that many of those people that think they are getting at the company are acutally screwing over their fellow pilots.

I know of a couple of situations that I was junior man or extended to cover flying for somebody that was flying slow to get into 30/7 issues.

i dont parrot what i hear in the crew room. i'm not the onewho flies 90% on each leg, descends at vmo. maybe you're one of those who likes to leave no more than 10 minutes early and fly fast to make a painfully long sit in phl longer. if you leave early each time, get there ON TIME, then u always make a little money...can you figure that out or is that too much for YOUR brain???
