An 8.5 year lazy 717 Capt made $165,595.03 including just under $12,000 in stock options.

Yea,... AirTran sucks.... I wouldnt want to work over there. ;-}

I was able to solidly put away 29,000 in retirement in 06. Not great.. but not bad considering the plight of our industry these days. The options.. well.. not to sure bout that stuff.. I set my sell price at 17 bucks.. missed it by a week. Maybe the stock price will creep back up with oil prices low and solid merger news. I really with I would have bought a beer truck load of MEH stock when it was 3 bucks... coulda, woulda, shoulda....

AirTran pay is decent.. its gonna get better !!. CONTRACT !

29K in retirement is very strong, are you a Capt. or FO?
Also, I hear you guys have 5 day trips, any truth to that?
Would you know if your current contract is online any where?
Thanks

My retirement contribution was $28K last year (5 years on property). $13K was the Company's contribution.

We don't have 5 day trips, but occaisionally you will see a line that has a 3 day trip that touches a 2 day trip, but they would have to have 12 hrs in domicile between them. You can usually jettison one of them during one of the two "Schedule Adjustment Periods" or through trip trading with open time.

The schedules appear to be made by someone with an 8th grade edumacation who once caught a pilot shagging his wife. How else do you explain an 18 day off line one month, and a 14 day off line the next, that both pay the same credit? :angryfire

Thankfully, ve haf ways of dealing with this.

Thanks ty, glad you don't have any of those nasty 5 days trips, I can deal with a 3 followed by a 2 day usually and doing few of them this month.

So since you have SAP, Do you use Flica then?, its the best gadget I think we have here.

Must be the same person who is doing our schedules, :)

How come no open time for Jan ?....no trips to swap with..Are they holding stuff somewhere? I like flica..I really like the mobile junk..easy to use

We have Flica. Most guys use bidpro for sorting, though. 737 CA average line for Feb (30 day month) paid 84 hrs credit. Days off range from 18-12.

Anyone have the latest scoop? Looking for real info.
Thanks in advance,
Out.

I have a friend who has been there about 8 months. He is lazier than me! If that's possible? And he gets about 85 hours credit even though he drops reserve days whenever he gets a chance. He's home about 14 days a month too. He got a build up line (I think that's what he called it) so we will see this month, but he is really happy at Air Tran. It's a pretty stress free environment, at least for him. And he paid off the Harley early and runs his boat pretty much whenever he wants, so the money must be working out too.
