It's been a hit at airshows as about 1/3 of the folks "get it." When someone asks "isn't Mayberry in North Carolina?" or "where's Mayberry?" I'll reply that "it's about six miles from Siler City, 45 minutes from Mt. Pilot, and a good day's drive from Raleigh."

About ten years ago, TDY at Eglin, I was interviewed and photographed by the base paper on Father's Day. Capt Otis Campbell from Mayberry was featured prominently the next day.

Art Vandelay

Art Vandelay was a character made up by George Costanza on Seinfeld. I wore an Art Vandelay nametag to a Canadian airshow back in the late 90's. Those that got it, loved it!
