Where is the best place to get one? I was looking at PAN AM and RAA. Flight Safety wants 31,500. Anyone know of anywhere else?

What's your intentions for getting the type rating?

I would highly discourage using Pan Am for anything - RAA I know nothing about.

....

The best place to get one is at the company you are working for. Let them give it to you when you upgrade.

why don't you get hired at a company that flies them and get it that way

maybe thats too "old school"

how are you getting a 31K type at CFI pay? Daddy paying for it? Tell Daddy you would be better off flying checks in a Baron for 500 hours in the soup single pilot.

Sometimes pilots make rocks look smart.

BTW, if I was interviewing you and I saw that you had paid for a CRJ type rating to make yourself "competitive" I would happily send you home with the Dear John letter shortly thereafter.

Take the $31000 and buy yourself something USEFUL!!!!!;) Having a CRJ type is not going to make you more "competitve" than someone without one. Unless, of course, you have the thousands of PIC hours to back up the type!!
