I read somewhere that in Russia pilots had to undergo blood or urine testing every time they showed up at the airport. Seems excessive to me. Besides, we've got the security screeners looking out for the best interest of the traveling public

The manager of the check point just testified that he has pre-consieved notions of all pilots going through the check point. They are all "arrogant and cause most of the trouble at the check point"

Yea, I was sitting there trying to stay awake for the opening arguments yesterday. That prosecutor is pretty magnanimous...the whole time she was talking, I was thinking the jury was reaching for their Cherry Vanilla Diet Doctor Peppers and I was thinking of how much I'd need to drink before...where were we? Oh yea, the case...

I don't blame them guys for using the technicallity of the definition, "operation". I don't condone operating aircraft with a BAC higher than FAA or company policy, but I don't condemn them for working the angle either.

Also, is it me or are those chicks on "court tv" the variety that seems like they would be into castration as a hobby. That one lady commentator was making comment about the tavern security videotape and said the pilots were "cowboys" "having a good time laughing it up and touching women".

I'm thinking, if it weren't for the fact that they were within a few hours of flying a jet, aint that what you're supposed to do in a bar? Dang, they are accused of DUI operation of an airliner, not with being gay.

Not that it's legit to fly drunk, but honestly...Alot of guys could show up completely toasted, make it from A to B and the pax would say "nice flight." Could probably get away with it dozens, if not hundreds of times before it burned em, and even longer before they bent metal. This job is not that hard.

I walked into the room just to see the guy on the witness stand taking a drink from a cup and flash his HUGE watch! David Spring, a guy from Privid Eye Security, talking about video tapes that he saved, is wearing a watch that would certainly throw off the weight and balance calculations of the airplane in question. What was he thinkin'?!?!?


Now the talking heads are talking about how inappropriately the flight attendant was dressed. Hmmmm... Perhaps I'm watching the wrong show.
