The manager of the check point just testified that he has pre-consieved notions of all pilots going through the check point. They are all "arrogant and cause most of the trouble at the check point"

Yes we are....and have every right to be. We work way to hard to get to where we want to be.

Really? the prosecutor is "generous in forgiving" ??? that's odd, that's not a quality usually found in prosecutors.
Main Entry: mag·nan·i·mous
Pronunciation: mag-'na-n&-m&s
Function: adjective
Etymology: Latin magnanimus, from magnus great + animus spirit -- more at MUCH, ANIMATE
1 : showing or suggesting a lofty and courageous spirit <the irreproachable lives and magnanimous sufferings of their followers -- Joseph Addison>
2 : showing or suggesting nobility of feeling and generosity of mind <too sincere for dissimulation, too magnanimous for resentment -- Ellen Glasgow>
- mag·nan·i·mous·ly adverb
- mag·nan·i·mous·ness noun
I don't recall saying that she was magnanimous in her duties as a prosecutor...just that she is of generous proportions...and spirit.

I was thinking more along the lines of the latin roots of this word...Magnus + Animus. Large Animal :D

YOU haven't been to Russia, have you?

Vodka is a Russian word, you know.

I *have* been to Russia, and I have worked with pilots over there, and the military pilots with whom I was working *did* take alcohol tests before each flight. DOn't kow if *all* pilots have to go through this, but at least some do.

Now the talking heads are talking about how inappropriately the flight attendant was dressed. Hmmmm... Perhaps I'm watching the wrong show.

:)

.

If you missed it, I am sorry. That was a heck of a blouse she was wearing. Why can't we have flight attendants like that.

If I have to hear Nancy Grace say one more time: "The pilots got behind the wheel of the airplane and attempted to drive a airplane full of passengers...."

Then all she could do is blast that Flight Attendant for showing so much cleavage.... blah, blah, blah. Like a group full of jealous wives talking down about the cute girl at her husbands work. Get over it already.

Do you think they'll replay it tomorrow? Will I be able to see it in the hotel in Winnipeg?

...Also, is it me or are those chicks on "court tv" the variety that seems like they would be into castration as a hobby. That one lady commentator was making comment about the tavern security videotape and said the pilots were "cowboys" "having a good time laughing it up and touching women".

I'm thinking, if it weren't for the fact that they were within a few hours of flying a jet, aint that what you're supposed to do in a bar? Dang, they are accused of DUI operation of an airliner, not with being gay.

Rotflmfao! That is exactly what you should be doing in a bar!!

I haven't seen the security camera images or anything, so I dont know what they did or didn't do - but both being married men, there was probably some explaining to do to the wives later!

Can you imagine coming home from that trip - you've already been arrested for trying to fly drunk, you're getting your certificates yanked, you're company is going to fire you, and to top it off you have to walk into your own house and know you have to face HER!! (Sam Kinison scream)

Reminds me of something that someone told me once: Never do or say anything that you wouldn't want your mom to see or hear at your trial later. :D
