I Have done some research here and I still am not sure which bag is the one that everyone gets that has the lifetime warranty. How does this warranty work and has anyone had any problems with it?? Also, is it a quality bag? How long can I expect it to last on a on a POS Saab? Can you get a new one at any time and do they care how many you go through?? Opinions appreciated, and so would a link to the bag. Thanks!!!

I think everything at Costco has a lifetime warranty. So any bag you get from there should be covered by Costco. My buddy at UA has a bag from Costco. If it ever breaks or something happens, he just takes it back and they tell him to go pick out a new one.

Get it. It's only $100 and they replace it for free any time it breaks. Basically anything in their store has a lifetime warranty except for electronics. You'll be happy.

When you return it, they either give you a Costco card with credit on it or I even got cash the last time.

Is it any time anything breaks on it they will give you a new one?? And i have a Costco card now but what if I don't renew my membership, can I still get a new one and no questions asked???

yes, and I'm not sure. But you can renew your membership to get a new bag when it breaks. It's still cheaper than a new one. Or if you know someone else with a membership, use theirs. You dont even need a receipt.

I don't own a Costco bag, but I was told by a fellow pilot that owns one that they are starting to get wise that flight crews are buying their bags. He said that the last time he took his bag back, they wouldn't replace it because he worked for an airline and it was classified as "excessive wear and tear" or something like that. I own a PNT (had extra uniform money left over), but always tell people about the Costco bags. Would suck if they start to take up the policy...has anyone else heard of them doing this or maybe this was an isolated incident?

Yes.... As long as you have a receipt, possibly even without. If your a member, Just dump the bag out, take it to Costco, they give you a Costco gift card for the current amount of the bag, get a new one or use the card how you want.

I've used these bags (both the Large and Small model's) in the FreightDog biz for 9 years, they hold up great! And they get much more abuse than any you could get at the Majors or Any Regional.

They look great, wear great, UNCONDITIONAL Lifetime Guarantee. What more can you ask for for $100 bucks!

22" roller

I had mine for a year and took it over the counter weight scale and the clip that held my flight bag popped after the freefall (I promise to be more careful next time). I took it back and got a refund and new bag, no problem.

The only flaw with this bag is the tote strap. The connections are all plastic, so the bag, with your brain bag strapped on, over "rough terrain" like over a step or push it out the Parking lot Bus door, will snap the plastic attach points. Other than that, its a great bag.

I have been using this bag for about 3 years, and I'm on my third bag. Last year I decided to NOT renew my Costco membership because the only thing I used it for was to return my bag. Two weeks ago one of the wheels locked up. I took it back and they let me get a new one, without a current membership. You just have to get a manager to swipe their card at the register. It was really no different than when I was a member. I'll keep taking them back and getting a new one until they tell me to stop. I think I paid $89 for it three years ago, and I've burned through three of them. I figure at this point, even if they stop letting me return it I've gotten my money's worth. They didn't seem to care about usage. If something's broken, they have to let you return/exchange it. FWIW, the first bag I returned I didn't have my reciept and they didn't care. Since then I've taken the receipt in and they seemed glad I brought it.

Does everyone get the 22" or the 20" bag? I noticed that online the 22 is sold out in black. But, they may have it in the store.

Put all your stuff in one of those "Green" shopping bags. Maybe it will draw some attention and MGT will give raises to the Regional Guys.

Mine's the 22". I used it in the E-145 and now the E-170. Fits just fine in the overhead bin.

22" costco bag

Been working for 3 years and have probably had 4 costco bags. Never questioned me once about the return. Every time I take it back, they give me a cash card to get another. Works great for taxes. A new reciept every time I get a bag.

They are made very well. My biggest problem on 2 of them has been the wheels, and the 3rd was the handle. If I didn't have to drag my 1,000 lb flight bag around all over the country, it would probably last forever.

Never have problems with overheads in the CRJ unless the expansion part is filled.

That's because the ERAU guys are showing up in their uniforms to return the bags. Not sure who they are trying to impress at Walmart/Costco, but ditch the uniform for once.
