Great interview experience! The entire interview was very laid back and enjoyable. There were two interview sessions, one in the morning one in the afternoon. There were three applicants during my afternoon session. After we introduced ourselves, they collected our paperwork (normal stuff, that was to be filled out before we got there) and our log books. Next, all three of us were taken to the room next door. There were four interviewers each in a different room: Chief Pilot Kevin, Instructor Chris, and two HR representatives Sandy and Katrina. All great people! (no sim ride) First we took an ATP type written test pretty much as stated out of the ATP gliem. Also an IQ/ brain teaser type test. They gave you about 45 minutes to do both. Know how to calculate rate of decent and how many mile out to start decent, approach plates, metars/tafs, wind shear, hydroplaning, and pressure/density altitude effects. There is also an IQ/problem solving test but Steve said that only one person got a 100% and he cheated. The test doesn't determine your hiring ability/decision. Chris (an instructor). Questions were 1.) Why Corporate? 2.) Where do you see your career in four years? 3.) What would you do if your piloting career doesn't work out? 4.) If selected, what do you anticipate the most difficult part of your training will be? 5.) Describe a system on an airplane that you were flying in etc. About the only tech. questions were about reading Jepp charts Where and how to decent in an airplane at 16000msl to 8000msl @250kts; How long and rate of decent. I gave hime the half speed and add a zero rule of thumb that I learned from Will DeGraw @ Airman flight school in Norman OK. Chris and Kevin will guide you a little if you have always used NOS charts. HR will explain to you the benifits at the company and go over any gap in your resume. Kevin is a nice guy at the same time he's a person who looking for a pilot willing to learn. This is not a time building school. This is a career or as bobbysam say expereince to remember. If you want to fly jets than do so. (High time pilot don't kick my @$$) Go push buttons. But if you want real world hands on flying and enjoy the days of real aviation then welcome home. This job is honestly for people who like flying the plane and not for the first officers who just like looking good in a suit. Flying is a passionate love that you marry. Probably the most important things to do during the interview are to 1.) have your paperwork neatly and thoroughly completed 2.) dress to impress 3.) be brutally honest about your background 4.) have an enthusiastic and true desire to be part of the Corporate Airlines team. Above all, they want to know that they can get along with you. I thank you all for the info on this site. Good and bad.
