If he spoke too soon, he knew, he was likely to hear about it from this young co-pilot.
For the rest of his life.

Real nice. That sounds familiar though. I hope the Burbank accident wasn't another one of these father/son combinations where the father didn't "speak up" because he didn't want to hear about it for "the rest of his life" while the son "was pulling the nose down at 500 mph aiming for the runway."
Considering the source - I say the author made that up to sensationalize his little affirmative action story of "the industry dominated by middle aged white males."

Yes, Pastor TXCAP, it was mild sarcasm.TXCAP4228 said:Typhoon1244, I suppose you were being sarcastic. Are you so jaded that you cannot believe that there really are places in America where people earn success based on merit?
Having walked the halls of the headquarters buildings at SWA many times I can tell you that this is a no bullsh!t company. I have absolutely no doubt that they hire only worthy people regardless of what that person's job title will be.

I am a little sensitive when some one bashes the appearance of someone as was done by a few folks on here. . . .It was just the personal attacks toward her by a select few earlier that were uncalled for.
We don't do the race/gender thing here. If you don't fit you don't get hired. United however......
