Where are ya'll getting this information? I've been looking and asking around the house and I can't seem to find where you are coming up with all being recalled by July.

Fantastic. Congratulation to all CAL furloughees!!

Regionals and Low-cost carriers who treat Pilots like S...t..............Let the games begin !!
Can't wait to see them losing three quarters of their pilots.

Truckdriver,

The bid is released on COAIR.COM but you probably don't have access. Its now available on the CAL ALPA website. Look for bid 05-07A information.

CAL to T-1A

Just flew with a CAL pilot today. He agreed with everything said here: all furloughs recalled relatively soon and hiring to accomodate growth and retirements by the end of '05. Excellent news for everyone!

Way cool, congrats, and best of luck!

?

how will they take the 112(?) and the guys that have hire letters at coex? will they take them all in order or mix them up with off the street hires?

The 112 will go undiluted as a group (probably 30 or so at a time) no news on the pref interview group, though they are scheduling second sim rides for those that flagged the first one. I would guess they will go as a group as well, then hopefully some kind of preference for Express guys interested in CAL as they start hiring off the street.

?

do the 112 go over at their current pay rate? do the pref interview guys go at first year pay and if so how many do you think will go?

112 go at 5th year pay (on the old contract, about $58/hour I think) and take vacation, sick time, pass travel hire date from express.

Good question on the others, Tough decision and a very personal one. I get the impression people are leaning towards going to CAL, but nobody really knows. I personally don't think I could give up the opportunity to fly for a major, but most of these folks have 9 years or so invested in Express and much to lose (as well as gain).

The "112" are now the "113."
