I don't think anyone gives a crap what your recip time is. I know I don't.

The following are the minimum qualifications to apply for a pilot position:

  • 1,500 hours fixed-wing total flight time
  • 1,000 hours fixed-wing PIC time, or 500 hours PIC time and 500 hours SIC time in a turbojet
  • 1,000 hours fixed-wing turbine time
  • 1,000 hours fixed-wing multi-engine time (civilian or military) or 1,000 hours single-engine military fighter jet time
  • Successfull completion of the ATP written exam
  • A current first class FAA medical
  • A Bachelor's degree is highly desired
They want you to have a Bachelor's degree, but they can't spell successful... haha

Since you're going to be scheduling the interviews, I'll keep that in mind

Holy Cow!

I just finished the Airline Apps application. The only thing I didn't have to do was give blood, but I'd have happily shed a little blood to not have to wade through 600 pages of the Inquisition!

That was painful...

Any of you going to the job fair in ATL this saturday?
CAL is attending.
I'll probably go, but it is hard to cough up $200 and wait in line several hours....

Please tell me I'm not the only idiot who has NOOO idea what to guess for sim time. 6 schools in the past eight yrs....how about asking the name of the peeps at the unemployment office. Lovely group, we know eachother on a first name basis. I may list them as references.

CAL's addendum get's pretty hardcore into the little details. Ever had a student investigated by the feds, any company warning letters, any unreported incidents, ever get caught picking your nose, etc.

has anyone had the person they put in as a recommendation recieve the email from continental yet? if so how long did it take and what did the email consist of?
