Continental hiring forcast

Does anyone know how many CAL has hired in the past few months (the current hiring spree) and how many they plan onl hiring in the near future?

I dont know how official you need, but im there everyday and only a handful of each new hire class are XJT. Its a good mix of all backgrounds. Hiring forecast as stated above.

Right now there is a good mix. I meant to say after the PIG's get blended in. Later next month I think it is turning all XJT, at least for a few classes. That is unless the class size is going to be more than 16/week. Thanks for the info.

I have heard anywhere from 400 to 600 this year. Let's just meet in the middle and call it 500.

They tried to cut classes down to 12/wk recently but the schedule (esp the 757/767) couldn't handle the trickle so they were going back to 16/wk. So I heard.

Saw some suits in the sim building last week. None today that I noticed but I heard that they only interview on certain days of the week. From what I have read here all the classes seem to be heavy XJT but a small majority come from elsewhere. I don't think you would see a string of only XJT. I came from express under the last flow through in 98 and that was a 1-2 ratio. I doubt that they would exceed that ratio with preferential interviews.

A buddy of mine was down for a CQ last week and heard the same thing, from C.P's (737 Fleet mgr) mouth; 64/month through the end of '06.
